The Learning Curve

I'm pretty sure this was the Musée D'Orsay but it might be in the Louvre.  Sorry.
Nonetheless, as I watched, fascinated, at this artist doing an exquisite job copying the painting, I noticed that with so many brush strokes she would put "a little 'English' in  her stroke."  I was shooting with a Canon G5 in RAW.
